Porsche will aim for a new Nürburgring record with the 919 Hybrid Evo

La Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo will still be talked about. After the absolute Spa-Francorchamps record (Belgium) signed by Neel Jani, the Stuttgart manufacturer will try to beat the time of 6'11''3 signed by Stefan Bellof at the wheel of a 956 C during qualifying for the 1000km of the 1983 Nürburgring.

Porsche had already carried out a roadshow with the 956 C alongside the 919 Hybrid Evo on the Hell track on the sidelines of the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring.

This time it will be Timo Bernhard who will have the task of improving the benchmark on the 20,81km circuit. The double winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans is already taking part in a test session this week and should attempt to break the record in the coming days.
