For sending falsified data, Dempsey-Proton loses all its points!

For having used a data box sending falsified data to the legislator, the Dempsey-Proton Racing team was excluded from the 6 Hours of Fuji and had all its points withdrawn, even though it was leading the championship in GTE Am.

For sending falsified data, Dempsey-Proton loses all its points!

At the end of the 6 Hours of Fuji, for not having observed the minimum refueling time of 45", the Porsche n°77 and n°88 had respectively received time penalties of 31” and 76”. But it quickly became clear that the problem was deeper. Indeed, the technical stewards subsequently discovered that the two 911 RSRs fielded by the German team were sending false information to the race direction, indicating a refueling time two seconds longer than the real refueling time. And this for the 6 Hours of Silverstone and Fuji.

For " data logger transferring false information, fraudulent processes and non-cooperation in an investigation » as well as violation of articles 12.1.1.c and 12.1.1.g of the international sporting code and appendix B on loyalty and the obligation to cooperate, the two Porsche 911 RSRs of Dempsey-Proton Racing were disqualified from the 6 Hours of Fuji and have lost all points scored since the start of the 2018-2019 financial year. The counters, both in the Drivers and Teams championships, have been reset to zero.

Summoned to speak on Thursday, November 15, the competitor acknowledged the facts and affirmed not to contest the investigation, while declaring that these modifications had been carried out by an external consultant with whom he is used to working...but whose identity he refused to reveal.

Firmly clinging to the reins of GTE Am, both among drivers (Julien Andlauer, Matt Campbell, Christian Ried) and Teams, the Dempsey-Proton Racing team finds itself relegated to the bottom of the table. The new leader is the astonishing Project1 team, which trusts a trio bringing together Jörg Bergmeister, Egidio Perdetti and Patrick Lindsey. The incriminated competitor has the right to appeal and would intend to do so.
