Prologue – FP4: Four in a row for Porsche

For the fourth time in as many sessions, it was a Porsche which set the best time, with the No. 5 of the Campbell - Christensen - Makowiecki trio. Cadillac and AF Corse complete the Top 3 of this final session of the WEC Prologue.

Prologue – FP4: Four in a row for Porsche

  • And four for Porsche ! As in the first three practice sessions of the Prologue WEC (the first two for Hertz Team JOTA, the third for Porsche Penske), organized in Qatar, the German manufacturer won the best time in Free Practice 4 thanks to Frédéric Makowiecki in the No. 963 Porsche 5, with a time in 1' 40″404, the absolute best time of this 2024 Prologue.
  • Cadillac almost deprived Porsche of the four in a row, since Alex Lynn failed just 54 thousandths behind the best time with the No. 2 Cadillac. The Top 3 is completed by the Ferrari private, the one operated by AF Corse, thanks to Yifei Ye. The two official Ferraris follow behind, in 4th and 5th position. The #499 Ferrari 50P was the car that completed the most laps in this session, with 84 laps completed.
  • Long ranked among the top places in the rankings, the two Peugeot 9X8 finally finished in 7th and 8th place in these Free Practice 4 of the Prologue. The Lion brand completed the laps without difficulty, with a total of 149 laps completed in three hours with the two cars.
  • Despite a mechanical problem that occurred on No. 35 this morning, Alpine continued to rack up laps with the new A424. If the times are still far from the best – the A arrow finished in 14th and 15th places, more than two seconds behind the No. 5 Porsche – the French manufacturer was able to complete 134 laps this Tuesday afternoon.
  • In LMGT3, D'station Racing confirms and signs the best time for the second consecutive time thanks to Erwan Bastard with theAston Martin n°777, in 1’54″778. The Japanese team is ahead of the No. 54 Ferrari Vista AF Corse by just a tenth.
