It's only the first morning of testing at Sebring, but Toyota is for the moment still master of his kingdom. The two GR010 Hybrids from the Japanese manufacturer completed the first driving session of the Prologue, lasting three hours, in the first two places. No. 7 of Mike conway, Kamui Kobayashi et Jose Maria Lopez thus signed the best lap in 1:48.208 thanks to his Argentinian driver. With 70 loops completed, it was also the most diligent Hypercar on the track.

Ryo Hirakawa was the only other driver to go below 1:49 with a lap of 1:48.293, just 0.085 seconds behind the sister car. Richard Westbrook completed the morning's podium by just over a second, but the only Cadillac V-LMDh entered only completed 44 laps. The Vandervell 680 of Vanwall (Tom Dillmann, Esteban Guerrieri, Jacques Villeneuve) brought up the rear, both in terms of kilometers covered and the timer, more than four seconds behind the Toyotas and behind the best LM P2 overall.

On the side of Porsche and Ferrari, the two manufacturers were within the same second as Cadillac. Both Peugeot 9X8 remained behind, as did the Glickenhaus which took time to take to the track at the start of the session.

Unsurprisingly, the leading LM P2 teams of United Autosports, Team WRT and Hertz Team JOTA all finished on the podium in the category. The Prema n°63 of Dorian Pin, Mirko Bortolotti and Daniil Kvyat took fourth place, 0.538 seconds behind the No. 22 United. Both Alpine were satisfied with 10th and 11th places.

The Iron Dames seem to have quickly adapted to their new mount, as they set the best GTE time in 1:59.913 in their Porsche 911 RSR – 19. They beat another Porsche, that of Iron Lynx, by 0.022 second, and the first Ferrari, the n°54 of AF Corse by 0.024 seconds.
