Quesnel: “It’s very good for us”

The #908 7 of Gené-Davidson-Wurz won ahead of the #8 of Montagny-Minassian-Sarrazin. Peugeot was on course to have the perfect weekend, but the #908 9 of Bourdais-Lamy-Pagenaud suffered from a broken wishbone a few laps from the checkered flag and finished 8th.

This mishap does not detract from the success of Peugeot which showed itself superior to Audi in this first duel of the new LMP1s. “ We started really far behind but the victory is won and we are really very happy », comments Olivier Quesnel at the end of the race.

This victory is all the more beautiful for Peugeot as the qualifying session really turned to Audi's advantage. “ At the end of the first day, everyone thought that Peugeot was not as strong as expected », Adds the director of Peugeot Sport. “ But we have proven that the car is good. It?s very good for us »
