Who to hire a 4th 908?

As in 2009 with Pescarolo Sport, a fourth Peugeot 908 HDi FAP should be entered by a “private” team during the next edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Many teams are applying to Olivier Quesnel, director of Peugeot Sport.

This year, the entry of a fourth 908 HDi FAP did not bring the effect expected by Peugeot , notably with a painful episode at the very start of the race in the stands between the Peugeot n°7 and the Pescarolo n°17 then the heavy exit of Benoit Treluyer who left a note of 300 euros?

Despite this first delicate attempt, Olivier Quesnel still wants to “entrust” a Peugeot 908 to a private team for the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010 and, undoubtedly, Le Mans Series.

Pescarolo Sport (or Sora Racing) would be far from being favorite at Peugeot. In France, Signature-Plus and Dams are in the running. On the other side of the Atlantic, Highcroft (which enters Acuras in ALMS) and a Mexican team (led by Fernandez?) have also shown their interest.

The decision will be made in the coming weeks.
