Rebellion confirms in EL2 at Spa

Just like yesterday, the Swiss team dominated the second free practice session for the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. But the Toyotas are becoming more threatening.

Rebellion confirms in EL2 at Spa

If the sky is overcast, the rain spares for the moment the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, where the antepenultimate round of the WEC. Best time in the first free practice session yesterday, Rebellion Racing confirmed this morning during the second.

The R13-Gibson n°1 of Nato-Menezes-Senna set the best time in 2'00"878 and is ahead of the runners-up by 0"560 and 0"602 respectively. Toyota TS050 Hybrid n°8 (Buemi-Nakajima-Hartley) and n°7 (Conway-Kobayashi-Lopez).

In fourth place, we find theAlpine A470 n°36 of negrao-Laurent-Ragues. Best time in LM P2 in 2'03"371, the latter beat the n°1 Enso CLM P01/4-Gibson, which conceded 2"6 to the reference mark. The top three in LM P2 is completed by the No. 07 Oreca 29 from Racing Team Nederland and No. 22 from United Autosports.

In GTE Pro, Aston Martin Racing placed its two Vantage AMRs in the first two places, with the advantage going to the No. 97 of Lynn-Martin. In third place, we find the Ferrari 488 GTE n°71 from Rigon-Molina, which precedes the Porsche 911 RSR n°92 from Christensen-Estre.

In GTE Am, Project-1 took the lead thanks to the #911 56 RSR of Hörr-Perfetti-Cairoli, with the second car from Keating – Fraga – Bleekemolen finishing 3rd. Sandwiched between the cars of the German team: the No. 488 AF Corse Ferrari 54 GTE driven by the Flöhr-Castellacci-Fisichella trio.

Meet at 14 p.m. for the third free practice session and at 18 p.m. for qualifying.
