Rebellion “in a good position” in LMS

The 1000 km of Spa-Francorchamps was an opportunity for Rebellion Racing to test the new aero package of its Lola B10/60 in racing conditions. Toyota. Regarding results, the objective was twofold, to consolidate the team?s 4th place in ILMC and to return to Pescarolo in LMS.
Alas, contact with slower cars hampered the smooth running of the Swiss coupes. No. 12 of the Nicolas duo Cheers-Neel Jani will finally finish 7th, and the 13 of Jean-Christophe Boullion and Andrea Belicchi will take the checkered flag in 9th position.

“Apart from contact in traffic, both cars behaved perfectly and showed good mechanical reliability, underlines team manager Bart Hayden. With the 24 Hours of Le Mans in just four weeks, that's the biggest positive from this weekend. In ILMC, we strengthened our 4th place in the Team rankings. In LMS, we are in a good position for championship victory in both the Teams and Drivers standings, and have increased Lola-Toyota's lead in the Manufacturers' championship. »

The Swiss team was not helped in its task by the #13 going off the road during free practice following a problem with a steering link. Next meeting, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where Jeroen Bleekemolen and Guy Smith will respectively support the usual Prost-Jani and Boullion-Belicchi crews.
