Rebellion on pole at the 8 Hours of Bahrain

Given the Success Handicap in effect here, we expected to see a Ginetta G60 LT P1-AER on pole, but that will not be the case. The fault is Rebellion Racing, galvanized by its victory last month at the 4 Hours of Shanghai.

Bruno Senna and Norman Nato completed two magnificent laps and took pole thanks to an average time of 1'42"979. The R13-Gibson n°1 is 0”144 ahead of the Ginetta n°5 of Hanley-King-Robertson and by 0”518 the Toyota TS050 Hybrid n°8 Buemi-Nakajima-Hartley. The top five is completed by the second Toyota and the second Ginetta.

In LM P2, United Autosports confirms its good performances in free practice and signs its first pole position in WEC. The No. 07 Oreca 22 was entrusted this evening to Phil Hanson and Paul di Resta, authors of a 1'45"357. Followed by the 07 n°37 of Jackie Chan DC Racing of Aubry-Tung-Stevens and that of G-Drive Racing at the wheel of which we find the trio Vergne-Rusinov-Van Uitert.

Championship leader, Racing Team Nederland only set the penultimate time in its class, and will start tomorrow just behind Signatech's A470 Alpine, which is struggling to reconnect with the fight at the forefront.

In GTE Pro, both Porsche ahead of both Ferrari and both Aston Martin. Pole goes to the No. 911 19 RSR-91 of Bruni-Lietz, thanks to an average time of 1'55"485. The German brand strikes a double blow since the #911 Keating Motorsports 57 RSR entrusted to Bleekemolen-Keating-Ven Toorde takes pole position in the GTE Am ahead of the #488 AF Corse Ferrari 54 GTE at the wheel of which the trio is racing Fisichella-Castellacci-Flohr. In fourth row, we find another Ferrari, that of Collard-Perrodo-Nielsen.

The start of the 8 Hours of Bahrain will be given tomorrow at 13 p.m. French time.
