Rebellion Racing with two Oreca 07s

Rebellion Racing has announced that it will enter two Oreca 07s in the 2017 season of WEC. The Swiss team, which until now competed in the private LMP1 category with its R-Ones, has focused on LMP2 for the next season while the regulations will evolve.

The Swiss structure also confirmed the presence of Nicolas Cheers, Mathias Beche, Nelson Piquet Jr and Bruno Senna who will be the four professional drivers of the two crews. The last mentioned is the only new arrival after having defended the colors of RGR Sport by Morand in 2016. The crews will be finalized by the contribution of two Silver drivers announced at a later date.

“We are delighted to confirm two Oreca 07s in the WEC in addition to our commitment with a car in the NAEC races of theIMSA (Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans), commented Bart Hayden, the team manager of Rebellion Racing. We were impressed by the Oreca 07 during testing last week in Sebring (Florida). It should be a good car to compete for victory and the title. »
