Rebellion Racing on pole in Belgium

If we feared it, the rain has still not disrupted the 2020 edition of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Without surprise, Rebellion Racing signed his fourth pole position of the season.

Entrusted during this session to Gustavo Menezes and Norman Nato, the R13 n°1 was respectively 0”8 and 1”4 ahead of the Toyota TS050 Hybrid n°8 (Buemi-Nakajima-Hartley) and n°7 (Conway-Kobayashi-Lopez), with a best average of 1’59″577.

The Enso CLM P1/01-Gibson of the ByKolles Racing Team managed to narrowly beat the fastest LM P2, namely the No. 07 United Autosports Oreca 22, shared this evening by Paul di Resta and Phil Hanson. Winner of the last two rounds, the English team precedes the No. 07 Oreca 38 of Jota Sport (Davidson-Félix da Costa-Gonzalez) and Cool Racing (Borga-Coigny-Stone).

In sight this morning, theAlpine A470 n°26 (Ragues-Laurent-negrao) must settle for 5th time, just behind the No. 07 Oreca 37 of Jackie Chan DC Racing (Stevens-Tung-Cullen). As for the No. 07 Oreca 29 of Racing Team Nederland, it was unable to set a single time.

In GTE Pro, the Porsche n°92 by Kévin Estre-Michael Christensen confirmed his good disposition with an average time of 2'14"207. She is ahead of both Aston Martin, with an advantage for the n°97, the second 911 RSR and the two Ferrari 488 GTE Evo from AF Corse, which conceded more than a second to pole.

Thanks to the No. 911 77 RSR of Ried-Pera-Campbell, Dempsey-Proton Racing took pole position in GTE Am in 2'16"519. Two other 911 RSRs followed, namely No. 56 and No. 57 of Project-1.

See you tomorrow at 13:30 p.m. for the start of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
