Rebellion tops WEC testing

Rebellion Racing was the fastest in testing for the WEC and finishes the tests with the best times. After encountering a wet track this morning, the circuit dried out during the day. Neel Jani took advantage of the last session of the afternoon to set the benchmark time in 1'43"521 at the wheel of the Lola B12/60 Coupé.Toyota. Rival team Strakka Racing finished half a second behind thanks to Danny Watts' best time this morning with the HPD ARX-03c.

Oak Racing leads the LMP2s with its Morgan-Nissans. Bertrand Baguette was responsible for setting the reference time for the category in 1'47"398 on the No. 35, two tenths ahead of the No. 24, whose best time was achieved in the morning by Olivier Pla. But the Oreca 03-Nissan of Delta ADR is not far away since the No. 25 of Pizzonia-Graves-Gonzalez failed 42 thousandths behind the second Morgan.

AF Corse dominated the debates in GTE Pro with the Ferrari 458 Italia by Bruni-Vilander-Fisichella-Kobayashi. Giancarlo Fisichella set the reference time in 1'58"790, six tenths ahead of the Gerber-Cioci-Griffin sister car entered in GTE Am. Porsche follows closely with the new 911 RSR of Team Manthey driven by Pilet-Bergmeister-Bernhard which fails six thousandths behind the second Ferrari AF Corse.

IMSA Performance Matmut encountered engine problems on his No. 911 Porsche 3 GT76 RSR at Narac-Bourret-Vernay one hour before the end of testing. Delta-ADR also saw its session prematurely ended by an off-track event damaging the suspension.
