Ricky Taylor will join Larbre at the 24 Hours of Le Mans

Ricky Taylor will complete the crew of the No. 6 Larbre Compétition Corvette C50R on June 22 and 23 for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and will thus evolve alongside the incumbents Julien Canal and Patrick Bornhauser. Runner-up in the Grand-Am in 2011, the 23-year-old American defends the colors of the Spirit of Daytona Racing in the American discipline and thus has solid experience in the world of endurance, even if he will be making his debut in GT. This choice is important for the French team which will field two cars this year in the Sarthe, the No. 70 being entrusted to Philippe Dumas, Cooper McNeil and Manuel Rodrigues, since it will aim for a fourth consecutive category victory in the double round of Sarthe clock.

“I always dreamed of competing in Le Mans”
, insists Ricky Taylor, whose father Wayne Taylor has 13 participations in Sarthe. “Larbre Compétition has proven itself several times at this level and it is without a doubt how to get the job done at Le Mans. Joining the car and drivers who won last season can only be a good thing but the pressure remains on for us to achieve the desired result. My father gave me some tips to succeed there and his experience will be invaluable. I will have no excuses! I have driven Daytona Prototypes in recent years but have no GT experience. However, I don't think this will be a problem. The tests will help me and I will ask official Corvette drivers like Richard Westbrook (his teammate in Grand-Am) to advise me. »
