Roberto Merhi returns to WEC with Eurasia Motorsport

There he is again. Roberto Merhi will find theEndurance during the 6 2020 Hours of Spa (August 15) as part of the Eurasia Motorsport team in the LM P2 category.

 

The 29-year-old Spanish driver competed in the 2019-20 Asian season Le Mans Series (Asian LMS) with the Philippine team as well as eight rounds of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) with Manor in 2016 and 2017.

" I finished on the podium in 2016 at Spa-Francorchamps, I’ve been waiting for a return to LM P2 for a long time on this remarkable track and championship”, indicates the former pilot of F1, who will be behind the wheel of a Ligier JS P217.

Roberto Merhi will be associated with the Japanese Nobuya Yamanaka and the New Zealander Daniel Gaunt. His boss for a weekend, Mark Goddard, is satisfied with the work done in Asian LMS. “Roberto was very fast in Asia, even though it was a new environment for him. He showed his qualities by achieving pole position in Shanghai (China). Besides, he's a great guy. »
