Studio session for Oak Racing

Oak Racing is satisfied with the work carried out during the Test day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The team?s objective was to validate the new aerodynamic kit specially designed for the 24 Hours. “The whole team had a good day’s work, rejoices Sébastien Philippe, the Team Manager. These tests were without sporting challenges, and the difficulty for the team – and for the drivers – was to remain concentrated without worrying about the competition. We tested a lot of things and validated several aerodynamic solutions. »

If the No. 15 of Matthieu Lahaye, Guillaume Moreau and Pierre Ragues did not encounter any major problems, this is not the case for the sister car (Richard Hein / Jacques Nicolet / Jean-François Yvon). Accidented at the end of the morning, the Pescarolo was unable to take the start in the afternoon. “However, the work accomplished on number 15 will be used for number 24” relative Sébastien Philippe.

Oak Racing also remains focused on the rest of its endurance program. ?Today we had a very important work plan and we were still able to respect a large part of the program, welcomes Jacques Nicolet, the president of Oak Racing. The technical assessment is more than positive but next week will be very busy to prepare the three cars in the best conditions for the second round of the ILMC at Spa. »

Regarding LMP2, the team was able to achieve its objective of seeing the two rookies, Andrea Barleso and Frédéric da Rocha, qualify.

The next meeting for the teams is now in Belgium, at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, where Oak Racing will contest the second round of the ILMC.
