Sébastien Loeb will not be at Le Mans

Sébastien Loeb hesitated until the last moment. Faced with a busy schedule, the six-time World Rally Champion put aside the?Endurance for this season, in order to focus on the WRC. Faced with a calendar of thirteen races, an increasingly pressing Hirvonen threat, the development tests of the DS3 WRC, the Frenchman could hardly see himself adding a participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and all resulting preparation tests.

However, Sébastien Loeb already knows the Peugeot 908 HDI FAP well, which he has been able to test several times in order to test its capabilities and improve its speed on the track. Although he has always declared that he "does not want to be a burden" for Peugeot, Sébastien Loeb received Olivier Quesnel's blessing to make a mistake in the WRC and participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The director of Peugeot Sport and Citroën Racing was even extremely satisfied with the times achieved on the circuit by the driver of Rally. But it was ultimately in the face of a titanic program that Sébastien Loeb preferred to give up, in order to maintain the best chances of winning a seventh WRC world title.
