Will Signatech make it to Le Mans?

The first two races contested by Signatech-Nissan, the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 1000 km of Spa-Francorchamps, did not smile on the French team. But the test day 24 Hours of Le Mans proved that the pace of the LMP2 was good, the crew having achieved the best time in the category.

Franck Mailleux is expecting a grueling race, even if Signatech-Nissan has prepared as well as possible for the double round of the clock in Sarthe. “ It’s a big week ahead of us”, confirms the Breton. ?Since the Spa 1000km, the whole team has worked hard to prepare the car. We carried out an endurance test at Magny-Cours where everything went well. We will have a “Le Mans” aero kit, taking into account the specifics of the route. The ORECA 03 is a fairly easy car to drive and, above all, pleasant. She behaves a bit like a car »

The Malouin also knows that multiple dangers can put a premature end to their race. “The circuit is long and anything can happen. It will be necessary to manage the traffic as best as possible and read the trajectories of the GTs carefully. Everything is very open for victory and fuel consumption could well be the key to the race. The tests will be crucial to see where our competitors stand. We have a reliable car and our crew is very homogeneous, with Soheil who has solid experience in Sarthe and Lucas who quickly learns how a prototype works. »
