The Silverstone team has clarified that it will maintain its presence in the GP3 Series alongside its endurance program.

Mark Gallagher, the founder of Status GP, recognizes that the creation of a World ChampionshipEndurance was a fundamental motivation. “This is a significant step for the team and complements our significant GP3 activity, as we aim to develop parallel programs globally in the future. We have benefited from the excellent relationship we have had with Lola over the past eight years and we believe this is an exciting time to be involved in global prototype racing. The discipline sees more manufacturers arriving after theELMS and the ALMS paved the way for the creation of the WEC. Sponsors and drivers are aware of the benefits of driving these superb cars in such prestigious events around the world. »
