Stéphane Sarrazin made up for it

Stéphane Sarrazin was keen to achieve a good time during the first qualifying session of the 84th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The driver of the No. 050 TS6 Hybrid made a mistake at the end of free practice yesterday afternoon, damaging the front of the LMP1, notably tearing off its bumper.

The Frenchman made up for it by setting the best time for the Japanese team with a lap completed in 3'20''737, one second behind the provisional pole achieved by Neel Jani on the Porsche 919 Hybrid n°2.

“It was an interesting night session after my mistake in practice, underlined the teammate of Mike conway et Kamui Kobayashi. We were able to do a very good job thanks to the mechanics. We owe them a lot for not wasting time. The car seems ready to race although we still need to fine-tune the settings. »

Qualifying for the 24 Hours of Le Mans will resume from 19 p.m.
