Lone Star Le Mans, or the 6 Hours of the Circuit of the Americas, sixth round of the World ChampionshipEndurance FIA, takes place this Sunday, September 1 in Austin (Texas).

Antonio Giovinazzi (Ferrari) starts in pole position ahead of Robert Kubica (AF Corse), with theAlpine #35 on the second row. In LMGT3, it is Ian James (Heart of Racing Team) who will start in front ahead of Sarah Bovy (Iron Dames).

01h44 - Maxime Martin slowly returns to the pit lane at the wheel of the #4 BMW M3 GT46.

01h41 - In GT3, theAston Martin Vantage still dominates the category with a nice lead over the two Porsches.

01h40 – Shwartzman maintains a seven-second lead over Kobayashi with 20 minutes to go.

01h33 - 65 people came to the Circuit of the Americas this weekend.

01:31 – 🟢 The race is restarted for the last thirty minutes.

01:28 p.m. – 🟡 Full Course Yellow 

01:23 – 🟡 The No. 88 Proton Competition Ford Mustang is stuck at Turn 6.

01h20 - La Toyota No. 7 completes its drive-through and comes out in second position, behind the No. 83 AF Corse Ferrari. Around ten seconds now separate the leader Shwartzman from his pursuer Kobayashi.

01h18 - ⚠️ Penalties are raining down at the end of the race! 100 seconds of stop-and-go for the Ferrari n°5 for a technical infringement!

01h17 - The #20 BMW goes through the pits and the #6 Porsche pays its penalty.Alpine #35 finds himself fifth!

01:15 – ⚠️ Same sanction for Porsche n°6 for the same reasons!

01:14 – ⚠️ Drive through for Toyota No. 7 as well, for not respecting the yellow flags!

01:10 – ⚠️ New sanction for Toyota n°8, penalized with a drive through for non-compliance with the blue flags.

01:01 – Lone Star Le Mans standings with one hour to go:

00:50 – ⚠️ The sanction has been handed down for Buemi ! 30 seconds of stop-and-go for the Toyota n°8! The Swiss also takes two penalty points on his license.

00h39 - ⚠️ Drive-through for non-compliance with Full Course Yellow procedures for the Lamborghini n°63 and especially for the BMW n°20, which is in fifth position!

00h37 - And once again, the #12 Jota Porsche is slowing down.

00h32 - Leader Kamui Kobayashi (Toyota #7) now has a 6″ lead over the #3 Ferrari, but the Japanese driver is under investigation for failing to respect the yellow flags at Turn 83.

00h31 - Still leading LMGT3, the No. 27 Aston Martin now has a 16″ lead over the No. 8 Porsche, while the No. 92 Ferrari completes the provisional podium.

00h28 - Ferrari confirmed that the retirement of the No. 51 was due to a transmission problem following contact with an LMGT3.

00h23 - 📺 The collision between Toyota #8 and Porsche #6:

00h21 - With the #7 Toyota receiving a reprimand for a technical infringement, its team manager is being called to race control immediately, while the Buemi/Estre incident is under investigation.

00h18 - 💥 Puncture for the #8 Toyota! On his out lap, Sébastien Buemi squeezes the #6 Porsche of Kévin Estre, until contact on the return straight between the two Hypercars!

00h16 - The complete ranking less than two hours from the finish:

00h14 - The #8 Toyota returns to the pits, handing over the lead to its sister car, #7.

00h09 - 🟢 Return of the green flag, the Lioness having been evacuated.

00h06 – 🟡 FULL COURSE YELLOW 🟡 – The race is neutralized for the second time today, in order to go for the Peugeot still at a standstill.

00h04 - The #50 Ferrari and #2 Cadillac also pass through the pit lane while the #94 Peugeot is stopped at the exit of turn 11.

00h01 - And one lap later, it's Yifei Ye who stops with the Ferrari n°83! Robert Shwartzman takes over, and at the exit of the pitlane, it's Kobayashi who takes the advantage!

23h59 - Nyck de Vries brings the #7 Toyota back into the box, and hands the wheel to Kamui Kobayashi for his first stint of the event.

23h52 - As we approach the final two hours of the race, it is still the #83 Ferrari that leads, it remains to be seen whether Ye can maintain the lead after the next few pit stops.

23h45 - The fight for the lead continues, Nyck de Vries is still in the tailpipes of Yifei Ye's Ferrari but he can't find the opening or take advantage of the traffic! The #50 Ferrari is third, 12″4 behind.

23h39 - The No. 777 Aston Martin joins the list of retirements, which now includes three cars.

23h38 - The #7 Toyota caught up with the #83 Ferrari, but coming back is one thing, overtaking is another!

23h35 - Once again, the #12 Jota Porsche was brought back into the garage by the mechanics, while the retirement of the #51 Ferrari is now official.

23h34 - ⚠️ 5-second penalty for the BMW n°46 of Valentino Rossi, found guilty of the collision with Grégoire Saucy.

23h33 - Just two seconds to go, de Vries is coming back at top speed!

23h28 - Nyck de Vries is busy getting back on the Ferrari n°83, the Dutchman is less than five seconds behind Yifei Ye!

23h22 - As the #27 Aston Martin continues to lead LMGT3, the #777 D'Station Racing car returns to its garage.

23h15 - In LMGT3, Grégoire Saucy (McLaren n°59) and Valentino Rossi (BMW n°46) have been engaged in a great battle for fourth place for several laps, but they come into contact at the first corner! The Swiss driver maintains his position ahead of the Italian for the moment. Only one retirement has been deplored in this sixth round of the season for the moment, that of the n°54 Ferrari of Vista AF Corse.

23h13 - As it had done since the start of the race, the BMW n°20 stayed on the track longer, and stopped while leading the race, leaving the Ferrari n°83 and the Toyota n°7 to take back their positions at the front of the pack.

23h08 - Nicklas Nielsen brings the #50 Ferrari back into the pits in turn, as does Nicolas lapierre with theAlpine No. 36. As expected, the Frenchman leaves his place after a single relay, while the Dane continues for a double, as his teammate Miguel Molina did at the start of the event.

23h06 - The two leading cars, the #83 Ferrari and the #7 Toyota, pass through the pit lane. Yifei Ye stays in the Italian car, while Nyck de Vries takes his place in the GR010 Hybrid.

23h04 - Penalties for cars numbers 31, 60, 77 and 82 for Full Course Yellow procedural violations.

23h02 - We take stock of the standings as we reach the halfway point and the #2 Cadillac passes through the pitlane:

22h59 - The #6 Porsche and the #38 Jota Porsche pass through the pit lane.

22h54 - ⚠️ Drive-through for the Peugeot n°94 of Stoffel Vandoorne, too fast in the pit lane.

22h53 - Mike conway picks up the pace and comes back to within nine seconds of the leading Ferrari.

22:50 p.m. – ⏱️ Fastest lap for Nicklas Nielsen at the wheel of the #50 Ferrari, in 1'52″952.

22h47 - 📺 The contact between the Iron Dames Lamborghini and the TF Sport Corvette:

22h44 - Valentino Rossi takes his place aboard the BMW n°46 of Team WRT, for his first stint of the race.

22h42 - The gap has stabilised at the front between the Ferrari n°83 and the Toyota n°7, still 11 seconds ahead.

22h37 - The battle rages between the BMW n°15 of Raffaele Marciello and the Porsche n°6 of André Lotterer for the sixth place. No small gain for the Porsche which leads the championship!

22h35 - 🟢 The race resumes under green flag regime.

hh22h31 – 🟡 FULL COURSE YELLOW 🟡 – The marshals have to clean the track, with debris in three corners.

22h26 - 💥 Rahel Frey (Lamborghini Iron Dames #85) hits Rui Andrade (Corvette TF Sport #81) as the two cars battle for second in GT3. Frey has to pit, Andrade continues with damage to the front left. The pink Lamborghini is pushed into its garage.

22h23 - And after a final lap in twelve minutes, the Porsche Jota n°12 finally returns to the pit lane, and logically goes into the garage.

22h21 - Norman Nato has now arrived at turn 16 in the #12 Jota Porsche, but he stops again. In front, Yifei Ye (Ferrari #83) has an 11″ lead over Mike Conway (Toyota #6).

22h16 - After the great comeback of Maxime Martin (BMW WRT n°46), Ahmad Al Harthy slipped in the rankings, he was overtaken by Joel Sturm (Porsche n°92) for fourth place.

22h13 - The Frenchman was able to set off again at a very low speed before stopping at the entrance to turn 3. If he wants to reach the pitlane, he will have to complete the entire lap of COTA.

22h11 - 🟡 Norman Nato stops the #12 Jota Porsche on the climb to the first corner, at the exit of the pits.

22h09 - The rankings after the second hour of racing:

22h06 - René Rast dives into the pits, Yifei Ye in the lead with the AF Corse Ferrari n°83.

22h01 - The #20 BMW takes the lead of the race after the #83 Ferrari pits.

21h59 - René Rast overtakes Miguel Molina for second place after the Spaniard made contact with Sébastien Baud's No. 82 Corvette.

21h56 - René Rast attacks at the limit behind Miguel Molina for second place.

21:54 p.m. – ⚒️ The #51 Ferrari has returned to its garage.

21h52 - Meanwhile, Maxime Martin (Team WRT) won his Belgian-Belgian duel against Sarah Bovy (Iron Dames) for second place in GT3.

21:50 p.m. – The #51 Ferrari slowly enters the pit lane and stops. The mechanics arrive to push it!

21:48 p.m. – After several long minutes, Giovinazzi sets off again at very slow speed in last position in the Hypercar category.

21:47 p.m. – The Italian can’t get going again!

21:46 p.m. – Giovinazzi spins at turn 12!

21h42 - Raffaele Marciello took over from Wittmann and came out in 17th position in the Hypercar category.

21h40 - The German goes through the pits straight away.

21h39 – Spin for Marco Wittmann. The BMW #15 falls to 11th place!

21h35 - Five seconds penalty for Giovinazzi at the next stop for an incident with the Lexus n°78.

21h33 - An update on the ranking after 1h30 of racing:

21h31 - Drive through for the No. 99 Proton Competition Porsche for abuse of track limits.

21h31 - Giovinazzi's #51 Ferrari under investigation following crash with #78 Lexus.

21h26 - Fifteen-second penalty for the No. 38 Hertz Team JOTA Porsche for two overtaking actions outside the track limits.

21h25 - The two BMW M Hybrid V8s are wheel to wheel.

21h23 - Rasmussen under investigation for gaining an off-track advantage before overtaking Müller.

21h22 - Some pictures from the start of the race.

21h20 - Big fight between Oliver Rasmussen (Hertz Team JOTA) and Nico Müller (Peugeot) which turned in favor of the Dane for 10th place after a failed braking by the Swiss.

21h14 - Different strategies are being implemented in Hypercar: at Peugeot they opt for double relays per driver, whileAlpine prefers single relays per driver.

21h06 - The ranking after one hour of racing and the first pit stops:

21h04 - The #6 Porsche goes through the pits, the #83 AF Corse Ferrari takes the lead again.

21h02 - Several simultaneous pit stops in Hypercar, including the #51 Ferrari. The #6 Porsche inherits the lead, but still has to stop.

21h01 - The #50 Ferrari pits, changing only its left-hand tires for Mediums. The #83 returned to the track with three Mediums and a Hard on the right rear.

20h59 - Five seconds penalty at the next stop for Edoardo Mortara (Lamborghini) for overtaking outside the track limits.

20h59 - Robert Kubica pits, Giovinazzi takes the lead again.

20h58 - Keating pits in GT3 and hands over class lead to Ian James.

20h57 - In Hypercar, passage through the pits for Cadillac n°2 and Peugeot n°94.

20h56 - First pit stops for the GT3s, Ben Keating inherits the lead at the wheel of the Ford Mustang GT3 n°88 of Proton Competition.

20h54 - Currently 11th, the No. 38 Hertz Team JOTA Porsche is penalized five seconds at the next stop for contact with the No. 3 Aston Martin Vantage GT777 of the D'Station Racing team driven by Frenchman Clément Mateu.

20h52 - The clutch of the #54 Ferrari was changed before taking to the track.

20h50 - La Ferrari 296 GT3 #54 Vista AF Corse finally hit the track after 45 minutes in the pits. It is running 17 laps behind the #3 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT27.

20h47 - Ferrari No. 83 reprimanded for technical infringement.

20h47 - The two BMW M Hybrid V8s have had an excellent start to the race and are in the wake of Miguel Molina's Ferrari, currently in 3rd place.

20:45 p.m. – Robert Kubica improves again to 1:53.250!

20:43 p.m. – Robert Kubica is flying at the start of the race. The Pole set the fastest lap of the race in 1:53.373 and has already pushed Giovinazzi back to almost three seconds.

20h38 - The top 10 of the general classification after the change of leader:

20:36 p.m. – Antonio Giovinazzi lets Robert Kubica pass for the lead of the race!

20:36 p.m. – AF Corse Ferrari No. 83 under investigation for technical infringement.

20h32 - Robert Kubica comes back on Antonio Giovinazzi at the head of the race.

20h30 - ▶️ The clash between Habsburg and Bamber on video:

20h25 - The Cadillac has damage from the collision with Habsburg on the first lap and is now in 7th place. After paying its penalty, theAlpine No. 35 dropped back to 16th place.

20h23 - Poleman Antonio Giovinazzi still leads the race ahead of Robert Kubica and Miguel Molina. The BMWs follow.

20:17 p.m. – Drive through for Ferdinand Habsburg (Alpine n°35) following his contact with Earl Bamber (Cadillac) on the first lap.

20h15 - A first point on the ranking after 15 minutes of racing:

20h13 - The passage through the pits of the Porsche n°5 was not due to contact with the Peugeot, but because of a cone on the car which had not been removed before the start.

20h12 - In LMGT3, Ian James (Heart of Racing Team) maintained his advantage ahead of Sarah Bovy (Iron Dames).

20h10 - The collision between Habsburg and Bamber is under investigation by race management.

20h07 - ⚒️ The passage through the pits of the Peugeot n°94 is the consequence of a puncture at the rear left after a contact, probably with the Porsche n°5 of Makowiecki.

20h05 - Note the excellent start of Nico Müller (Peugeot) who is in sixth place.

20h03 - Already a double visit to the pits in Hypercar with Frédéric Makowiecki (Porsche) and Stoffel Vandoorne (Peugeot).

20:02 p.m. – Contact between Habsburg and Bamber, this benefits the BMWs of Marco Wittmann and René Rast who find themselves 4th and 5th!

20:01 p.m. – Excellent start from Miguel Molina who overtakes Bamber and Habsburg to move up to third position! The three Ferraris are in the lead at the first corner!

20:00 p.m. -🟢 Green flag, let's go for 6 hours of racing in Austin!

19h53 - Frankie Muniz, famous actor from the Malcolm in the Middle series, waves the American flag and the warm-up lap begins. The #54 AF Corse Vista Ferrari, 6th on the grid in GT3, is stuck in its garage due to an engine problem.

19h51 - Ferrari is the favourite for this race with five cars in the first five places on the grid.

19:49 PM – 🥵 It’s hot here in Austin, 32°F in the air, 47°F on the track.
