TDS Racing shows its disappointment after the outcome of the appeal

Rendered last week, the decision of the FIA International Court of Appeal had confirmed exclusion of the two Oreca 07 n°26 G-Drive Racing and n°28 – TDS Racing of the results of 24 Hours of Le Mans, the refueling laps being judged non-compliant, allowing very rapid refueling during the race.

The TDS Racing entity commented on the decision, via technical director Jacques Morello. “We are sincerely surprised by this decision, explains the latter. Indeed, the commissioners were able to freely inspect these elements in accordance with the regulations and prior to the race without formulating the slightest reservation.

The Court indicated that there was no criterion applicable to fittings other than the maximum internal diameter set at 38 mm. Note that a clarification relating to fueling was made in the weeks following the 24 Hours of Le Mans event at the request of a team, i.e. before the round ELMS du Red Bull ring. We are disappointed, however we take note of the final decision »

The confirmed sanction imposed on the No. 26 winner in LM P2 with Jean-Eric Vergne, Roman Rusinov and Andrea Pizzitola, offered success to theAlpine A470 n°36 of Nicolas lapierre, André Negaro and Pierre Thiriet.
