Absent in Portimão due to a conflict of dates with theIMSA, Tom Blomqvist signed his return in WEC with pole position in the LM P2 category for United Autosports.

« United Autosports did a great job and provided me with a great car! I didn't have a super clean preparation before qualifying, so I had to trust my instincts for the session. Our car is currently P4 in the championship, so it's all about improving after the disappointment at Sebring. The guys did a good job winning last time in Portimão, when I had an incompatible IMSA entry. Now Olly, Josh and I are looking to repeat that success. »

Tom Blomqvist will start in first position in the LM P2 category ahead of the WRT of Rui Andrade and the Prema of Dorian Pin.
