Everything remains possible in GTE Pro after 15 hours of racing at Le Mans

Hopes for a second part of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2019 (Sarthe) lively were greatly diminished after the intervention of several safety cars shortly after midnight, but it turns out that one category contains a large part of suspense: the GTE Pro.

We had left the Porsche n°92 firmly installed at the head, but that was without taking into account damage to the exhaust! Forced to return to his pit, Kevin Estre lost around twenty minutes and more than five laps on his opponents. Suffice to say that it will be difficult for him to achieve the double in Sarthe.

This adventure benefits the Ferrari n°51, the only Italian car still in contention for AF Corse after the engine failure of the n°71 last night. At 6 a.m., James Calado is in the lead, but he saw his lead disappear due to a Slow Zone procedure. Instead of minute thirty, it is with barely 20 seconds left that the Englishman enters the 15th hour of effort.

The top 4 is held in less than a minute. This is better than in the GTE Am category, where the Keating Motorsports Ford has a lap margin in the lead! In LM P2 too, the hierarchy seems fixed, with the auras 01 of G-Drive Racing in front with 1'36'' ahead of theAlpine n ° 36.

In LM P1, the duel between the Toyota turns in favor of the n°7 with a minute ahead of the n°8, which notably had to change the right door during a pit stop. Rebellion completes the provisional podium.
