Toyota dominated Porsche during the second free practice session for the 6 Hours of Shanghai, just as it did in FP1.

Meilleur temps de la première séance d’essais libres des 6 Heures de Shanghai, La Toyota TS050 Hybrid n°7 a confirmé en EL2, grâce à un chrono de 1’44 »741. Le trio Conway-Kobayashi-Lopez is 0”390 ahead of his sister car Buemi-Davidson-Nakajima. Les deux Porsche 919 Hybrid suivent à 0 »528 et 0 »875, l’avantage allant cette fois à la n°2 de Bamber-Bernhard-Hartley.

In LM P2, the No. 07 Oreca 13 entered by Vaillante Rebellion for Beche-Heinemeier Hansson-Piquet Jr retained the leadership in 1'50"556. If the second car from the Swiss team is third, it is ahead of its great rival in the fight for the title, namely the No. 38 from Jackie Chan DC Racing entrusted to Jarvis-Laurent-Tung. The top five is completed by the No. 24 of CEFC Manor TRS Racing (Vergne-Hanley-Rao) and the No. 36 of Signatech Alpine (Menezes-negrao-Stone).

Behind in EL1, Ferrari took power in GTE Pro thanks to the No. 51 of Calado and Pier Guidi, championship leaders since their victory at Fuji. Followed by the #911 Porsche 91 RSR of Lietz-Makowiecki at 0”6 and the #66 Ford GT of Mücke-Pla at 0”8. The only cars in the category shod by Dunlop and not Michelin, the Aston Martin Vantage are 1”8 behind the reference brand.

In GTE Am, Porsche took the lead thanks to the No. 77 of Dempsey-Proton Racing (Dienst-Cairoli-Ried), which precedes the No. 98 Aston Martin (Lauda-Dalla Lana-Lamy) and the Ferrari 488 GTE n°61 from Clearwater Racing (Griffin-Sawa-Mok).
