In a weekend where not much seemed to be going in the direction of the Japanese manufacturer, the GR010 n°7 managed to extricate itself from the downpours which fell on Francorchamps.

Toyota against all odds at the 6 Hours of Spa

Spa will remain Spa. This new edition of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the only round of the world championship, with the 24 Hours of Le Mans, à être présente tous les ans au calendrier depuis sa création en 2012, fut fidèle au mythe de sa météo capricieuse. Cette fois, et à l’inverse du Grand Prix de Belgique 2021, les 25 000 spectateurs répartis dans les tribunes du circuit belge en ont eu pour leur argent. L’épreuve fut certes, interrompue à maintes reprises, mais elle a eu le mérite d’avoir lieu et d’être allée à son terme.
