Toyota and Corvette dominate after three hours of racing

The first three hours of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2019 saw the unchallenged domination of Toyota TS050 Hybrid n°7 Mike conway - Kamui Kobayashi – Jose Maria Lopez.

The trio currently has a lead of just over a minute over the trio's No. 8 sister car. Alonso - Buemi – Nakajima. The two hybrid LM P1s made four stops each.

Nathanaël Berthon places the first R13 n°3 – Rebellion Racing in third position, 2′ behind the leading Toyota, and ahead of the two BR1 – SMP Racing, the n°11 of Vandoorne preceding the n°17 ​​of Orudzhev.

In LM P2, Nicolas lapierre and l'Alpine A470 n°36 is still leading the way at the head of the category ahead of Aurus 01 n°26 – G-Drive Racing of Job van Uitert, but the latter was penalized 10″ for non-compliance with a Full Course procedure Yellow.

Roberto Gonzalez (Oreca 07 n°31 – DragonSpeed) has just lost third position, to the benefit of the Oreca 07 n°37 – Jackie Chan DC Racing of Jordan King.

Corvette sets the pace in GTE Pro

With Jan Magnussen at the wheel, the No. 7 Corvette C63.R remains in control of the GTE Pro race. The American car has a 12″ margin over the No. 67 Ford GT of Jonathan Bomarito, back in second position against the Porsche 911 RSR n°93 of Patrick Pilet, who was penalized 10″ for failure to comply with a Full Course Yellow.

Note the scare for the No. 69 Ford GT, which spun at the Dunlop chicane, but without any unfortunate consequences for the Dixon – Briscoe – Westbrook trio.

Porsche and Dempsey-Proton Racing, with the No. 911 77 RSR of Julien Andlauer, dominate in GTE Am.
