Toyota leads with an hour and a half to go

After an eventful night, the debates calmed down 24 Hours of Le Mans. This morning, only the Rebellion led the race for second place. Gustavo Menezes in the No. 1 refused the racing instructions which ordered him to stay two seconds behind Romain Dumas in the No. 3. The imbroglio was resolved in the pits since the No. 3 had a clutch problem and struggled to restart.

In front, there Toyota No. 8 leads with five laps in advance. The sister car, delayed last night, will not be able to return to regular status on the podium.

In LMP2, the elimination race claimed one last victim, the United Autosport n°32 of Will Owen, Alex Brundle and Job Van Uitert. With 90 minutes to go, their teammates Phil Hanson, Felipe Albuquerque and Paul Di Resta are in the lead ahead of the Jota Sport of Anthony Davidson, Antonio Felix Da Costa and Roberto Gonzalez.

The two cars are within 1'30 and are one lap ahead of the G-Drive Racing driven in particular by Jean-Eric Vergne. The first French team, Panis Racing, ranks fourth.

In GTE-Pro, the suspense remains present between theAston Martin n°97 by Alex Lynn, Maxime Martin and Harry Tincknell and the Ferrari n°51 by James Calado, Alessandro Pier Guidi and Daniel Serra, the title holders. 1’30 separates them. The #95 Aston Martin completes the podium in the category.

In GTE-AM, the #90 TF Sport Aston Martin took an option for victory with Salih Yoluc, Charlie Eastwood and Jonny Adam. She is almost a lap ahead of the group formed by the Porsche Project 1 of Larry Ten Voorde, Matteo Cairoli and Egidio Perfetti, the AF Corse Ferrari of François Perrodo, Emmanuel Collard and Nicklas Nielsen and finally the No. 77 Dempsey Proton Racing Porsche of Matt Campbell.

The places seem fixed for the podiums, barring any incident.
