Toyota still well placed in Bahrain

The hierarchy remains similar at the top of the 8 Hours of Bahrain two hours from the finish, with both Toyota TS050 Hybrid #7 and #8 in that order.

LM P1 entrusted to José Maria Lopez, Kamui Kobayashi et Mike conway, in the lead from the start, is one lap ahead of the car of Sébastien Buemi - Kazuki Nakajima - Brendon Hartley and has a path ahead of her for a second victory in 2019-2020 after Silverstone.

The provisional overall podium returned to the Rebellion Racing clan, with the No. 13 R1 of Gustavo Menezes – Norman Nato – Bruno Senna, which regained the advantage over the Ginetta G60-LT-P1 – Team LNT.

The English clan was deprived of the No. 5 of Charlie Robertson – Ben Hanley – Jordan King, forced to stop at the side of the track apparently following a mechanical problem.

It is in GTE Pro that we must look again to find suspense for victory. After the setbacks of both Porsche 911 RSR n°91 from Bruni – Lietz and n°92 from Estre – Christensen, theAston Martin Vantage n°95 by Marco Sorensen and Nicki Thiim scraps with the Ferrari 488 n°71 – AF Corse by Davide Rigon and Miguel Molina.

The latter still led the category in the last few minutes before returning to the pit lane.

Third place is currently owned by James Calado (Ferrari 488 n°51 – AF Corse), but the Briton only has a little more than 6″ lead over Alex’s n°97 Aston Martin Vantage. Lynn.

United Autosports remains untouchable in LM P2, with Filipe Albuquerque, Paul di Resta and Phil Hanson (No. 07 Oreca 22) more than 18″ ahead of the No. 07 Oreca 38 – JOTA Sport of Anthony Davidson, Roberto Gonzalez and Antonio Felix da Costa.

Team Project1 saves the furniture of the Porsche clan in GTE, by dominating the Am category, with the #911 57 RSR of Bleekemolen – ten Voorde – Keating, which is one lap ahead of the #98 Aston Martin Vantage of Dalla Lana–Turner–Gunn.
