Toyota winner, Porsche champion in Shanghai

Toyota continues its momentum; After a home victory in Fuji (Japan), the Japanese firm repeats in Shanghai (China), by winning the penultimate event of the World ChampionshipEndurance (WEC) Sunday with the No. 8 of the trio Kazuki Nakajima-Sebastian Buemi-Anthony Davidson.

However, in the garage Porsche, the party should also be in full swing, since in addition to the Manufacturers' title in LM P1, Earl Bamber, Timo Bernhard et Brendon Hartley (N°2) won the Drivers’ title. A third position was enough to the winning crew of the last 24 Hours of Le Mans to pocket the crown. Long subscribed to the last step of the podium, the prototype grabbed a place following a collision between José Maria Lopez (Toyota No. 7) and the Porsche 911 of Richard Lietz (No. 91) half an hour from the term.

The LM P2 category held many battles, finally giving victory to the Vaillante Rébellion of Julien Canal, Nicolas Cheers and Bruno Senna which take the advantage in the Championship thanks to their third success in the last four rounds. L'Alpine Signatech led by Nicolas lapierre, Gustavo Menezes and Matt Rao finished second.

Ferrari obtained the Manufacturers' title in GTE PRO even before the Bahrain round, but victory went to the British Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell (Ford GT). They are back in the Championship, especially since Kevin Estre and Michael Christensen lost big points, following an engine failure in their Porsche.

In GTE AM, the reliable Aston Martin Vantage of Pedro Lamy-Mathias Lauda-Paul Dalla Lana dominated the Khaled Al Qubaisi-Benjamin Barker-Nicholas Foster Porsche.
