The 2019-2020 WEC sporting regulations will be modified in terms of refueling, as well as with the introduction of a Success Ballast in GTE Am.

A Success Ballast introduced in GTE Am, refueling modified

The World ChampionshipEndurance will modify its sporting regulations before the next 2019-2020 season, which will begin immediately after the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2019.

The major change will be found on the pit lane side, and more particularly at the refueling level. These can no longer be carried out at the same time as tire changes. This is to carry out the procedures safely.

Success Ballast introduced in GTE Am

Like the future 2020-2021 regulations, the next 2019-2020 Super-Season will feature a Success Ballast, or mass handicap for cars based on the results of previous races and positions in the championship.

This process, however, will only be introduced in GTE Am, like what the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has imagined. for the 2019 European Le Mans Series.
