Vanina Ickx at Signature.

Shortly after announcing the acquisition of a Lola-Aston Martin for the 2010 season, Philippe Sinault confirmed that Pierre Ragues and Franck Mailleux were returning for another season. A logical choice as the French duo did not disappoint last year, being both fast and reliable.

But very quickly too, the first rumors reported the possible arrival of Vanina Ickx as reinforcement in Sarthe. Rumors finally confirmed since yesterday, the Belgian announcing, during Women's Day, her presence at the start of the double clock tour on June 12 and 13 within the Signature Plus team.

The daughter of the six-time winner of the event will therefore participate in her sixth 24 Hours of Le Mans, his best result being an 11th place in 2008, in the company of Joao Barbosa and Stéphan Grégoire aboard a Pescarolo-Judd entered by Rollcentre Racing.

With a team that has very quickly acclimatized to endurance, and a reigning LMS champion car, the 35-year-old has everything to obtain a better result, especially by taking the start of the 1000 km of Spa, she will have the opportunity to experience a full-scale test session in order to arrive ready for the Le Mans classic.
