Jean-Éric Vergne has been confirmed within the Manor team for the WEC season, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Vergne confirmed at CEFC Manor TRS Racing

After launching into Formula e, where he currently defends the colors of Techeetah, Jean-Éric Vergne will join the set ofEndurance by being committed for the entire 2017 season of WEC with CEFC Manor TRS Racing.

The old pilot Toro Rosso is the 5th driver to be confirmed on one of the two Oreca 07s from the Manor team. The Frenchman will join Simon Trummer, Tor Graves, Jonathan Hirschi and Roberto Gonzalez. He thus joins the list of drivers with both a Formula E and WEC program.

“Endurance races, and particularly 24 Hours of Le Mans, have been more and more in my thoughts. I couldn't have wished for a better start with such a team.", commented the former test pilot of the Team Ferrari.

The WEC Prologue will be contested in Monza (Italy) on April 1 and 2. The Mexico ePrix will be organized the same weekend.
