Towards a single engine in LM P2

The World Motor Sport Council, meeting this Friday in Geneva, Switzerland, indicated that a single engine should be introduced in the LM P2 category from 2017.

As we indicated to you in AUTOhebdo n°2001, LM P2, a category today represented in various endurance championships around the world, should experience a profound change starting with the 2017 season.

If currently Nissan or Honda are among the engine manufacturers involved in particular in WEC, the FIA confirmed this Friday at the end of the World Motor Sport Council meeting in Geneva, Switzerland that a single engine would be developed. These changes were introduced to contain costs as noted in the meeting minutes.
