WEC – 28 cars announced in Austin

28 cars at the start, this should be the minimum number of participants in each of the remaining rounds of the WEC. Thus, during the American stage, which will be held on the Circuit of the Americas on September 22, we should find the same competitors as in Brazil last weekend, with four LM P1s, including the Toyota n°8 which will again be entrusted to the trio Sébastien Buemi-Anthony Davidson-Stéphane Sarrazin. After their Brazilian disappointment, Pascal Vasselon's men will be keen to shine.

Regarding changes, note in LM P2 the debut of Frenchman Erik Maris, who will lend a hand to his compatriots Jacques Nicolet and Jean-Marc Merlin in the No. 45 Oak Racing Morgan-Nissan. At Lotus, in the #128 T31, the Briton James Rossiter and the Italian Vitantonio Liuzzi are back. They will come to support the American Kevin Weeda. Mexican Rudy Junco joins Tor Graves and James Walker on the No. 25 Oreca of G-Drive Racing by delta-ADR. As for the Zytek n°41 of Greaves Motorsport, it will be entrusted to Christian Zugel and Chris Dyson.

The only change to note in the GTE Pro, the return of Frenchman Frédéric Makowiecki to theAston Martin Vantage n°99 with Bruno Senna. In GTE Am, only the identity of the teammate of Enzo Potolicchio and Rui Aguas is missing on the Ferrari 458 Italia n°81 from 8 Star Motorsports. Note the presence of the German Roald Goethe on the No. 96 Aston Martin.
