WEC – 6 a.m. from Bahrain: Toyota advantage after 1 hour

Toyota réussit son début de course puisque les deux TS030 sont en tête des 6 Heures de Bahreïn à l’issue de la première heure. La TS030 n°7 pilotée par Nicolas lapierre is a handful of seconds ahead of the No. 8 of Sébastien Buemi. Audi has already experienced a scare with Benoît Tréluyer's R18 n°1 making slight contact with the Ferrari 458 by Tracy Krohn. The two R18s are more than ten seconds behind the Japanese after the first stops have been made. The start was eventful in LMP2 and it was Pecom Racing who took the lead with a very good stint from Nicolas Minassian. John Martin follows in second position in the G-Drive Racing Oreca 03-Nissan. Björn Wirdheim completes the top three with the Greaves Motorsport Zytek. The three Oak Racing Morgans follow the Delta ADR Oreca 03 led by Robbie Kerr.

Porsche occupait la tête du GTE Pro avec la n°91 de Jörg Bergmeister avant d’entamer les premiers arrêts. AF Corse talonne la voiture de tête avec la F458 n°51 pilotée par Gianmaria Bruni. Bruno Senna est le premier pilote Aston Martin at the wheel of the #99 Vantage. The #911 92 RSR lost the lead from the start following a puncture following contact with the #32 Lotus of Dominik Kraihamer who spun. The battle is also intense in GTE Am between the #95 Aston Martin of Nicki Thiim and the Porsche Imsa Matmut performance by Jean-Karl Vernay.
