WEC – Alpine conquering the Circuit of the Americas

The A450b from Panciatici-Chatin-Capillaire is starting to struggle to compare with more advanced LMP2 models. After taking 5th place in the category at the Nürburgring (Germany) last August, Signatech-Alpine makes his first trip outside Europe by going to Austin (Texas) for the 6 Hours of the Circuit of the Americas where the French team hopes to achieve its first podium of the season. It is the return of the French brand to the New Continent, more than 50 years after the entry of the M63 in the 12 Hours of Sebring with Mauro Bianchi and José Rosinski in 1964 (33rd).

“For drivers, the Austin circuit promises a lot. Its reputation already makes it a monument, which is very rare for recent routes”, notes Philippe Sinault, Team Principal of Signatech-Alpine. " For us, it will be a real discovery against rivals who raced there last year. We are looking forward to the first free tests to confirm the work carried out on our Ellip6 simulator. We know that the podium is a high goal, but it?s our ambition! »

The first free practices will be held this Thursday, September 17 from 14:45 p.m.
