WEC-EL1: The #7 Audi in the lead at the Nürburgring

Audi struck first in practice for the 6 Hours of the Nürburgring, the #7 from Tréluyer-Fässler-Lotterer narrowly setting the benchmark ahead of the first Porsche 919 Hybrid.

WEC-EL1: The #7 Audi in the lead at the Nürburgring

The No. 7 Audi driven by André Lotterer was the fastest in the first practice session for the 6 Hours of the Nürburgring (Germany) held on a drying track, finishing with a time of 1'39"201. There Porsche No. 18 driven by Neel Jani is the closest to the reference with 7 hundredths behind, while the R18 e-tron quattro No. 8 of Loïc duval and the #919 17 Hybrid of Timo Bernhard are 7 tenths behind. The first one Toyota, the n°2 of Stéphane Sarrazin, is 5th, more than 2 seconds behind the benchmark.

In LMP2, it was Gustavo Yacaman's Ligier JS P2 which set the best time with a lap completed in 1'46"631. Team SARD Morand did not take part in the session.

The Ferrari of AF Corse were the fastest in GTE Pro, the no.51 of Gianmaria Bruni having achieved a lap in 1'55, 661 tenths ahead of Davide Rigon's sister car. The Italian team also finished first in GTE Am with the No. 4 of Rui Aguas.

The second practice session for the 6 Hours of the Nürburgring will take place from 16:30 p.m.
