WEC-EL2: Audi #7 keeps control at the Nürburgring

After dominating the first test session at the Nürburgring (Germany), the No. 7 Audi driven by Benoît Tréluyer remained the fastest with a best time of 1'37"862. But the 919 Hybrids keep pace with Mark Webber's #17 and Neel Jani's #18 less than a tenth behind. THE Toyota are always more than 2 seconds from the reference.

The G-Drive Racing Ligier JS P2s set the pace in LMP2. Sam Bird's No. 26 was the fastest with a time of 1'46"299, more than a second ahead of Gustavo Yacaman's sister car. Team SARD Morand was able to take back its Morgan-Evo which had been seized by the courts.

Aston Martin took control in GTE Pro, the No. 99 Vantage of Richie Stanaway finishing at the top of the category with a time of 1'54"869. It's only 4 hundredths better than the Ferrari n°51 AF Corse by Toni Vilander. SMP Racing set the benchmark in GTE Am with the #72 of Victor Shaytar credited with a time of 1'56"238.

The final practice session will take place on Saturday August 29 from 9:30 a.m. while qualifying will begin at 14 p.m.
