WEC – Conclusive tests for Strakka Racing’s Dome S103

Expected at the end of the 2014 season, the Dome S103 will finally make its debut in the LMP2 category of WEC at the 6 Hours of Silverstone. The British team carried out an intensive testing program at Motorland Aragon (Spain), covering more than 4000km.

Nick Leventis, Danny Watts and Steven Kane took turns at the wheel of the Dome S103 until the session was interrupted by snow. But Strakka Racing still had time to test new aero elements, whether with low or high aero downforce.

“It’s good to get back behind the wheel so early in the year.”, enthused Nick Leventis. « The car behaved very well and we are very satisfied with our development in recent months. Motorland Aragon is a demanding circuit that is perfect for working on this new car. »

Strakka Racing will have a lot to do in an LMP2 field which will have six more crews compared to last year. The British team will have to face the Ligier JS P2, the Oreca 03R and 05, the Morgan, the HPD ARX-04b, the Gibson 015S and even the BR01 of SMP Racing. The season will begin on April 12 with the 6 Hours of Silverstone (Great Britain).
