The Russian team SMP Racing will be present in force at Daytona next January in WTSC before making the big jump to the WEC.

WEC / IMSA – SMP Racing unveils its lines

SMP Racing finalizes its preparations for the next season on the racing sceneEndurance. Engaged in ELMS this year, with a presence on the last round of the WEC in Bahrain with the BR 01, Boris Rotenberg's team will move up a gear in 2016.

From January, the 24 Hours of Daytona (Florida), first round of the WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, will see a copy of the Russian LM P2 prototype lined up for the crew Mikhail Aleshin (which will also evolve in IndyCar with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports), Nicolas Minassian, Maurizio Mediani and Kirill Ladygin.

In addition, a Ferrari 488 will be entered in GTLM for the quartet which will look great with Andrea Bertolini, Gianmaria Bruni, James Calado and Viktor Shaytar. The latter, crowned in GTE Am in WEC in 2015, will also drive a BR 01 in the World Endurance Championship alongside his compatriots Vitaly Petrov and Kirill Ladygin. The second crew has not yet been confirmed.
