WEC – Audi n°1 on pole at the 6 Hours of São Paulo

Audi took the front row of the grid at the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo with the No. 18 R1 in first position ahead of its sister car. The No. 8 Toyota completes the top three.

WEC – Audi n°1 on pole at the 6 Hours of São Paulo

Thanks to an average of four laps in 1'21"303, Marcel Fässler and Benoît Tréluyer allowed the No. 18 Audi R1 e-tron quattro to take pole position for the 6 Hours of São Paulo, fourth round of the championship of the world ofEndurance. Note that it was the Swiss, in 1'20"784, who was the fastest of the session. The car of the reigning world champions is 0 ahead of the sister car behind the wheel of which Tom Kristensen and Loïc duval. Followed by the Zytek Z11SN-Nissan n°41 of Greaves Motorsport, the Lotus n°32 and the Morgan n°24.

Thanks to an average time over four laps of 1'33"340, the New Zealander Richie Stanaway and the Portuguese Pedro Lamy allow Aston Martin de décrocher la pole position des 6 Heures de São Paulo dans la catégorie GTE Pro. Suivent les Ferrari 458 Italia of AF Corse, with the n°71 of Toni Vilander-Kamui Kobayashi ahead of the #51 of Gianmaria Bruni-Giancarlo Fisichella, the #99 Aston of Bruno Senna-Rob Bell and the #911 Porsche 91 RSR of Patrick Pilet-Jörg Bergmeister.

Ferrari dominated the GTE Am thanks to the #458 AF Corse 61 entrusted to Marco Cioci-Jack Gerber-Matt Griffin. (Update: Ferrari #61 has been decommissioned due to non-compliant ride height) The Italian, in 1'34"577, is ahead of the No. 95 Aston Martin Vantage of Christoffer Nygaard-Nicki Thiim-Kristian Poulsen and the No. 458 Ferrari 81 of 8 Star Motorsports at the wheel of which we find Davide Rigon, Enzo Potolicchio and Rui Aguas.
