WEC – The No. 3 Audi with the Le Mans at Spa package

In accordance with what was done last year, Audi will equip its R18 e-tron quattro n°3 with the aerodynamic package Le Mans at the 6 Hours of Spa. The differences are at the level of the rear fenders, which are extended, and the front wheel arches, which are more curved. On the latter, the obligatory holes, normally located on the top, are moved to the side.

This car will be entrusted to the Italian Marco Bonanomi and the Portuguese Filipe Albuquerque. “I’m delighted to be racing for Audi again, underlines the first named, whose last appearance in LM P2 dates from the 24 2012 Hours of Le Mans. We will be racing with a car whose aerodynamic configuration is different from that adopted by the two sister cars. We are doing this to prepare for Le Mans. After testing with this package, I am confident. »

The n°1 and n°2 (new chassis, those at Silverstone having been damaged), will be in the same aerodynamic configuration as at Silverstone.
