WEC / Le Mans – The Nissan GT-R LM has passed crash tests

While the teams of WEC participate in the Prologue on the Paul-Ricard circuit (Var), Nissan has confirmed that it has passed FIA crash tests with its GT-R LM Nismo. Expected for the official tests of the world endurance championship, the Japanese manufacturer announced the postponement of the debut of its LMP1 for the Test Day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans scheduled for May 31.

Expected with its front-wheel drive technology, the absence of Nissan at Silverstone (April 12) and Spa-Francorchamps (May 2) disappointed endurance fans. The Japanese team's problems appeared during the Sebring tests by the weakening of a spacer (see: AUTOhebdo n°2002).
