WEC / Le Mans – Mardenborough reaches the top with Nissan

Jann Mardenborough is included in the list of drivers who will defend the colors of Nissan in WEC and 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 13 and 14). The Japanese manufacturer confirmed the presence of the 23-year-old Briton with Lucas Ordonez and Michael Krumm during the presentation on February 11.

The driver from the GT Academy confirmed his driving skills by winning a podium in the LMP2 category at the Le Mans double round of the clock in 2013 on a Greaves Motorsport Zytek. The following year he took part in the Ligier JS P2's debut at Le Mans with Oak Racing, taking fifth place in the class. His experience was supplemented with single-seater racing.

Jann Mardenbourough is now preparing to fight at the highest level of theEndurance. « I want to prove that there is a different path to the top of motorsport than spending years and years in karting by winning at Le Mans. It’s an honor to have been chosen by Nissan to race in LMP1. I was able to closely observe the current LMP1 cars on track and I'm looking forward to driving one this year. The Nissan GT-R LM Nismo appears to be a historic race car and I'll get to drive it! »
