WEC / Le Mans – Porsche unveils its liveries

On the sidelines of the Prologue of WEC, which will begin tomorrow on the Paul Ricard track in Var, the German brand has also unveiled the livery of the LM P1 prototypes which will evolve this season during the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 13-14). Three colors will be on the program in Sarthe while white will be required for all 919s (two per year in the WEC and three at Spa in Belgium and at Le Mans, Editor's note) on the other events on the calendar.

The n°19, white, will be driven by the trio Earl Bamber, Nick Tandy and Nico Hulkenberg. Black, in reference to the Porsche 918 Spyder, was chosen for number 18 entrusted to Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb. Finally, red, the color of the victorious Porsche 917 on the double clock in 1970, will be worn by number 17, lined up for Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Mark Webber.

The 919 Hybrid, which covered more than 26 km in tests during the winter, and which like we already explained it to you in issue 2004 of AUTOhebdo, available in digital version and on newsstands, will evolve in the class of ERS 8 MJ in 2015. will begin the first official tests tomorrow, to confront for the first time against the Audi R18 e-tron quattro et Toyota TS040Hybrid version 2015.
