WEC – Will Team ByKolles turn things around in 2015?

The CLM P1/01 had a sluggish start to say the least in WEC, but the former Lotus LMP team, now Team ByKolles, does not intend to relax its efforts. His commitment to the 2015 season has been confirmed during the ACO press conference which was held on February 5.

The LMP1 will receive a new gearbox, a new rear suspension, reworked aerodynamics and various performance-related developments including a weight reduction. “We tried by all means to strengthen our package during the truce”, commented Boris Bermes, the operations director of Team ByKolles. “I know that we will face very respectful teams. We may seem small in comparison, but we will be determined to take advantage of this opportunity. »

To face the Rebellion R-One powered by the AER block which already equips the CLM P1/01, Team ByKolles will continue to trust Simon Trummer who discovered the mount last year in parallel with his GP2 program and who is preparing to compete for the first time in the 24 Hours of Le Mans (Sarthe) on June 13 and 14. “I had a great time with the team last year. I like the way they work and I know they have come up with some significant developments. Competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans is a dream for most drivers. I can't wait to be there and see what I can do there. »

The WEC Prologue will take place on March 27 and 28 at Paul-Ricard (Var).
