WEC – Porsche will skip the GTE Pro in 2016

As we announced to you in issue 2036 of AUTOhebdo, Porsche will be absent from the GTE Pro category of the WEC in 2016. . The Stuttgart brand which fields the 911 RSR in the World ChampionshipEndurance with Team Manthey preferred to focus on the development of the new 911 GT3 R available for sale from next year.

If Proton Racing had previously been selected to field a 911 RSR in GTE Pro next year, Porsche preferred to reconsider its choice last week. However, German cars should be present at the 24 Hours of Le Mans played on June 18 and 19.
