WEC – Rebellion confirms Nick Heidfeld and Mathias Beche

Rebellion Racing has confirmed Nick Heidfeld and Mathias Beche for the 2014 season of WEC où l’écurie helvétique alignera la nouvelle R-One inscrite dans la catégorie LMP1-L. La Lola B12/60 Coupé-Toyota avait été bien seule l’an dernier puisqu’elle était la seule voiture engagée en LMP1 privé suite au forfait du Strakka Racing. Avec Nicolas Prost already made official for this new year, the hat-trick had notably won Petit Le Mans last year and won fourth place in the general classification at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2012.

« It’s fantastic to continue the adventure in 2014 after two seasons with Rebellion Racing where we won the most races as a privateer LMP1 team.”, comments Nick Heidfled. “I’m looking forward to the first season in the WEC. After a victorious season with Rebellion Racing, Mathias Beche is also delighted to be included in the Swiss team’s new project. “Rebellion Racing perfectly embodies the spirit of Le Mans. 2014 will be a turning point in the team's evolution with the construction of their own car, the R-One.
