WEC-Spa: Dumas-Lapierre, exchange of good processes

If Philippe Sinault, the main team of Signatech-Alpine, loves motorsport so much, it is above all for the human relationships that it allows him to build.

It is no coincidence that he is starting his sixth season in a row with Nelson Panciatici or that he recruited last year Nicolas lapierre, which gave him his first victory at the Macau Grand Prix in 2003 F3.

“We all love this sport for the great stories it tells, and the latest one, Nico (Lapierre. Editor’s note) came to tell me in my office three weeks ago, he told us on April 28, in the new showroom Alpine of Boulogne-Billancourt.

Il m’a fait part du fait que Toyota lui avait demandé s’il lui était possible de rouler avec eux aux 6 Heures de Spa-Francorchamps et aux 24 Hours of Le Mans.

For me, it was both bad and good news. A bad one as he brought and still brings to the team. But yet I immediately said yes, because the story is too good and I don't want to make him lose this chance that presents itself to him to fight for victory, at Le Mans, in the general classification. But I made it clear to him that the sine qua none condition was that he wins. »
