WEC – Stéphane Sarrazin loves São Paulo

The World Championship ofEndurance (WEC) will come out of its summer break at the end of the month by going to Brazil, for the fourth round of the year. A meeting that brings a smile to Stéphane Sarrazin, entered in LM P1 on the Toyota TS030 Hybrid n°8, which has some memorable memories on the Interlagos track. Interview.

What did you do to stay in shape during the summer break?
I was quite active during the summer, training both in cycling and swimming. But I also participated in three Grand Am Rolex Series car races in the United States with 8Star Motorsports.

Which circuits inspire you the most in the second part of the 2013 WEC season?
I love São Paulo because I competed in my first GP there in Formula 1 (with Minardi in 1999, Editor’s note), and I have wonderful memories of it. It is also on this circuit that I was titled champion with Peugeot in LMP1 (Le Mans Series 2007), and finally I won in LMP2 last year with Starworks. But I also like the other circuits, we haven't ridden there much, but that makes the challenge even more exciting.

You have five races left on three continents in the coming months. How do you manage travel and time difference?
I've never had a problem with time differences. As pilots we travel a lot around the world and I am used to traveling.

What do you like most about the São Paulo event?
I really like this type of track with climbs and descents as well as long turns. It’s a great circuit.
